Welcome to Assignment Expedition. By using our application, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Assignment Expedition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Assignment Expedition is a family assignment management application that:

  • Allows guides (parents/guardians) to create and assign assignments to explorers (children)
  • Gamifies assignment completion with points and achievements
  • Provides AI-powered assignment recommendations
  • Tracks expedition progress and generates reports

3. Account Registration

Guide (Parent/Guardian) Accounts

  • You must be 18 years or older to create a guide account
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must provide accurate account information

Explorer (Child) Accounts

  • Explorer accounts must be created by a guide (parent/guardian)
  • Guides are responsible for their explorers' use of the service
  • Guides consent to our collection of their explorer's information as described in our Privacy Policy

4. Subscription and Payments

Free Tier (Base Camp)

  • Limited features as described on our pricing page
  • No payment required

Paid Subscriptions (Trail Blazer)

  • Billed monthly or annually as selected
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled
  • Refunds handled according to platform policies (App Store, Google Play)
  • Features may change; significant changes will be communicated in advance

Cancellation

  • Cancel anytime through your account settings or app store
  • Access continues until end of current billing period
  • No partial refunds for unused time

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Impersonate others or create fake accounts
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Upload malicious content or code
  • Use automated systems to access the service without permission
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Content and Data

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create (assignments, notes, etc.)
  • You grant us license to use this content to provide the service
  • You are responsible for content you create

Our Content

  • Assignment Expedition and its design, features, and content are our property
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission

7. AI-Generated Recommendations

  • AI recommendations are suggestions only
  • Guides (parents/guardians) make final decisions about assignments
  • We do not guarantee recommendations are appropriate for all explorers
  • AI features may have limitations and occasional errors

8. Privacy

Your use of Assignment Expedition is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Results from the service will be accurate or reliable
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow liability limitations, so these may not apply to you

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via:

  • In-app notification
  • Email (if provided)
  • Updated "Last Updated" date

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

12. Termination

By You

  • You may delete your account at any time
  • Your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy

By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Extended inactivity
  • Any other reason with notice
